First-team all-Big Ten guard Lucy Olsen led all players with 21 points and nine assists to lead 11th-seeded Iowa to a 74-61 upset of No. 24 Michigan State in the final second-round game of the Big Ten Tournament in Indianapolis on Thursday.

Hannah Stuelke spent much of the second half in foul trouble, but she managed 12 points and 10 rebounds in 23 minutes as Iowa (22-9) moved on to face third-seeded Ohio State (24-5) in Friday’s last quarterfinal.

The No. 13 Buckeyes claimed an 86-78 overtime win over Iowa on Feb. 17 in Columbus, the teams’ only meeting this season.

Taylor McCabe added 12 points for the Hawkeyes, who led 32-25 at halftime before falling behind 46-41 with four minutes left in the third quarter. With Stuelke sitting with four fouls, freshman Ava Heiden entered and scored six of her career-high 11 points to help Iowa regain a 54-48 lead entering the fourth.

Second-team all-league forward Julia Ayrault led sixth-seeded Michigan State (21-9) with 17 points. Fellow second-teamer Grace VanSlooten added 12 points and 10 rebounds and Ines Sotelo posted 11 points off the bench. Iowa forced the Spartans into 24 turnovers, one shy of their season-worst total.

Nebraska 74, Illinois 70

Jessica Petrie scored nine of her 11 points in the fourth quarter — including the go-ahead 3-pointer with 1:40 to go — as the 10th-seeded Cornhuskers rallied to upset the seventh-seeded Illini.

Freshman Britt Prince notched 17 points and five assists while Petra Bozan added 11 points as the Huskers (21-10) reversed their fortunes in a game Illinois led for more than 34 minutes. Nebraska advances to face second-seeded UCLA (27-2) in the first game of Friday’s night session. The No. 4 Bruins defeated Nebraska 91-54 on Dec. 29 in Los Angeles.

Genesis Bryant shrugged off a first-quarter sprained ankle to post 20 points and five assists for Illinois (21-9), which broke to a 13-2 lead and owned a 56-47 advantage prior to Logan Nissley’s putback at the third-quarter buzzer.

All-Big Ten center Kendall Bostic added 19 points on 9-for-13 shooting for the Illini, but did not score in the final 18 minutes and only took one shot in that stretch. Adalia McKenzie collected 16 points, 10 assists and six rebounds as she and Bostic played the whole game.

Indiana 78, Oregon 62

Ninth-seeded Indiana scored 10 straight points in the first quarter and 13 in a row down the stretch to knock off eighth-seeded Oregon.

Yarden Garzon paced the Hoosiers (19-11) with 18 points that included 4-for-7 shooting on 3-pointers. Shay Ciezki posted 17 points, Chloe Moore-McNeil scored 13 and Sydney Parrish added 10 to push Indiana into Friday’s first quarterfinal against top-seeded Southern California.

Indiana jumped ahead quickly in front of a partisan crowd at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Ciezki scored 11 points, including three 3-pointers, to help stake the Hoosiers to a 23-11 lead after one quarter.

Peyton Scott notched 16 points, eight rebounds and four assists for the Ducks (19-11) while Ehis Etute added 14 points off the bench. Scott beat the halftime buzzer with a 17-foot baseline jumper that pulled the Ducks within 40-30 at the break.

Oregon got as close as 53-48 late in the third quarter and climbed to within 63-55 on Scott’s pullup with 6:15 to go. That’s when Indiana reeled off 13 straight to pull away.

Michigan 66, Washington 58

Big Ten co-Freshman of the Year Olivia Olson scored nine of her 21 points during a 13-0 third-quarter run to lift the fifth-seeded Wolverines past the 12th-seeded Huskies.

The Wolverines’ spree — triggered by an Olson layup and capped by Olson’s spinning drive for a three-point play — turned a 39-36 deficit into a 49-39 lead as the Huskies went six minutes and 10 possessions without a point.

Freshman Syla Swords contributed 15 points and Jordan Hobbs added 11 points with six rebounds and four assists for Michigan (21-9), which meets fourth-seeded Maryland in Friday’s second quarterfinal.

Dalayah Daniels delivered a game-high 22 points and 10 rebounds for Washington (19-13). Elle Ladine posted 14 of her 16 points after halftime, but finished 7-for-20 from the field. Washington entered the game ranked eighth nationally in 3-point accuracy at 37.7 percent, but Michigan limited the Huskies to 4-of-18 shooting from long range.
