Although reports say that President Biden is losing a little popularity because of inflation which is being currently fixed, a long drawn pandemic and more, recent polls show that President Biden is more popular than both Donald Trump and Ron DeSantis. The Marquette Law School poll released on Thursday, showed Biden way ahead of the former president as well as the Governor of Florida, in head to head matches, if the elections were held today, instead of 2024.
The Marquette Law School poll showed Biden with 43 percentage points; Trump was at 33. The poll also showed 16 percent polling “someone else.”
When polled against DeSantis, Biden had a lower margin as he polled 41 percent while DeSantis polled 33 percent. The poll showed 18 percent back “someone else.”
Although Trump does not lose an opportunity to mock and criticize Biden as he did, recently at a rally in Arizona and as he is expected to do so at an upcoming rally in Texas, President Biden is still way ahead of the former president.
The poll also showed that a majority 71 percent do not want to see Trump back in the White House while 20 percent want him to get a second term.
Biden’s personal approval rating is 55 percent approval to 31 percent disapproval. This is a little higher than his approval on poll averages which is in the low forties.
DeSantis has a personal approval of 22 percent and a disapproval of 44 percent. A large percentage of people–44 percent say that have not heard enough about the Governor of Florida to be able to approve or disapprove of him.
There’s no doubt that President Biden is ahead of both the Republicans. However, things can change dramatically as presidential elections are more than two years away. Biden will be electing a new Black Supreme Court justice that could get him a higher approval. He also mentioned that he would fight the election if he was in good health.
Former President Trump has often spoken of standing for another term but Governor Ron DeSantis has not mentioned standing as yet. Both the Republicans have recently criticized each other. Trump has also been belligerent that his protege DeSantis has not come out in open support of his bid to be the Republican presidential candidate in 2024 and has reportedly complained about this issue.
