Baz Luhrmann has directed a new movie called EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert and movie fans are excited as there is some unseen footage that will thrill the fans of the King of Rock & Roll. The director has already released a film called Elvis, which included an Oscar nominated performance by Austin Butler. This new movie is a concert film with direct inputs from Elvis Presley using his own words, performances, and interviews.
The newest Elvis Presley film features six shows that were filmed in 1970 during Elvis Presley‘s Las Vegas residency. The movie also features four concerts that were filmed in 1972. The King of Rock & Roll was on a US tour.
The movie features original footage that was owned by MGM and was stored in salt mines in Kansas, to prevent damage through moisture. It is indeed exciting that most of this footage will feature in the new Epic: Elvis Presley in Concert film.
The concert film will also tell the story of the legend in his own words, as well as through interviews that were recorded and portions of Elvis Presley’s interviews will also be seen in the film.
The never before seen footage was restored with a lot of care by Peter Jackson and his team at Park Road Place. Director Baz Luhrmann said that it took time to secure financial backers, and they also went through a lot of ups and downs to get this concert film up and about.
EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert is a vibrant and electric film that will make fans forget that the rock ‘n’ roll legend is dead. There are more than 20 mesmerizing performances of his hits and covers. It almost appears as if Elvis Presley is alive and movie fans are watching him live in concerts.
