Baye Ndongo collected 19 points and 11 rebounds to record his second straight double-double, lifting Georgia Tech to an 81-62 victory over Texas Southern on Tuesday night in the second leg of the Peach State Classic in Atlanta.

Ndongo had 20 points and 10 rebounds in the Yellow Jackets’ 105-93 setback to North Florida on Sunday.

Naithan George had 16 points and six assists and Kowacie Reeves Jr. added 15 points and seven rebounds for Georgia Tech (2-1), which benefited from 10-0 and 12-0 runs in the first half.

Javian McCollum scored 14 points and Lance Terry added 13 off the bench to pace the Yellow Jackets.

Georgia Tech’s Luke O’Brien sat out due to an undisclosed reason. O’Brien had 15 points and eight rebounds against the Ospreys on Sunday.

Duane Posey scored 15 points off the bench for the Tigers (1-3), who did themselves no favors by making just 12 of 22 free-throw attempts.

Texas Southern did its best to stay close by outscoring the Yellow Jackets by a 20-12 margin in points in the paint and recording eight steals.

Posey made a layup to bring Texas Southern within three points midway through the first half before Georgia Tech scored the game’s next 10 points.

McCollum sank a 3-pointer to begin the run and capped it by converting a three-point play to give the Yellow Jackets a 30-17 lead.

The Tigers made two quick jumpers before Georgia Tech responded with 12 straight points to push the advantage to 42-21. Terry and McCollum each drained a 3-pointer and George made four free throws during that spurt.

George capped the first-half onslaught with a 3-pointer, giving Georgia Tech a 49-25 lead at intermission. Reeves sank a pair of 3-pointers to help the Yellow Jackets score 15 of the first 24 points of the second half, extending their lead to 30 points at the second media timeout.
