It’s been less than two weeks since Alec Baldwin accidentally shot cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, who succumbed to her wound and director Joel Souza who has been discharged since, after being treated for a shoulder injury as he was hit by the same fatal bullet. The 63-year old actor lay low for a while after the shooting but emerged on Saturday, to talk to the press who were following them. His wife Hilaria posted Halloween pictures on Sunday on Instagram.
There was a family photo as well as several pictures of Hilaria with their children. She also posted a short video on Instagram. Hilaria, 37, wrote that “parenting” after the fatal incident had been an “intense experience” and that they “rallied” to give their kids a holiday.
Alec Baldwin was smiling into the camera and was dressed in a costume from the popular children’s book Where the Wild Things Are. Hilaria wore a costume that apparently seemed to be that of a spider witch and so did two of her daughters eight year old Carmen and eight month old Maria Lucia Victoria.
There was also a photo of Maria with her one-year old elder brother Eduardo. Both of them wore matching workout clothes. Six-year old Rafael, five-year old Leonardo and three-year old Romano wore colorful costumes but whom they dressed up as was not clear.
Hilaria’s post received some positive comments from a few celebrities. However, the public was appalled that she posted pictures of their celebrations while Halyna’s son who is just nine year old was still grieving and could not celebrate Halloween.
The photos were released hours after a report from the Los Angeles Times detailed other accidents with guns that had occurred on the set of Rust, before the fatal October 21 shooting. According to the report there were three accidental shootings that took place, before Hutchins’ death. Investigations on the death of 42-year old Halyna are ongoing.
