On Friday, Hilaria Baldwin, the wife of Alec Baldwin, posted her commitment to her husband, Alec Baldwin, on Instagram. She posted a sweet photo of the husband and wife pair kissing as they hugged each other. She added a caption that was significant. It read, “I am here, I love you and I will take care of you.”
Hilaria was referring to the devastating and fatal shooting of cinematographer Hutchins at the set of the Western film “Rust.” The antique gun that fired the bullet was in Alec Baldwin’s hand. Hilaria said that she remembered saying that phrase over and over again as she thought of the “horrific loss, the torture to her family and you, my husband” who had somehow been “put in this unthinkable nightmare.”
The long post also detailed her feelings that were overwhelming as he spoke to her on the phone and the prying eyes of photographers captured him visibly upset. She described her anguish as she couldn’t be near him to hug him and described their connection over the phone as “a visual for the world to see.”
She also mentioned that although their public life brought “great joy in connecting with amazing people” it also brought “tremendous trauma” when it got “dark.”
Hilaria also mentioned that she was afraid for him to open up and she had seen his spirit crushed and his mental health shattered and that his soul had been in unimaginable pain. She also said that she wondered “how much one body, one mind” could take. She also shared that she didn’t want to “lose” him.
On Thursday, Alec Baldwin had sat down for an hour long interview with George Stephanopoulos. He described the incident and his feelings in detail. However, he faced criticism from the District Attorney of Santa Fe, New Mexico for his comments to the media.
The Emmy award winner had been asked to maintain discretion by the authorities but he spoke with the media. Some of his recent comments led to comments from the authorities who are still investigating the tragic events that unfolded at the set of Rust, in October. The authorities said that conclusions could not be made made by Alec Baldwin and that the investigations could continue for several weeks.
