Led by Ava Heiden’s career-high 27 points, No. 13 Iowa defeated Nebraska 80-67 on Monday in Lincoln, Neb., to secure its 10th straight 20-win season.

Heiden grabbed 11 rebounds, Taylor Stremlow scored a career-high 17 points and Chazadi Wright chipped in 14 points and seven assists for the Hawkeyes (20-5, 11-3 Big Ten), who have won two straight following a three-game losing streak. Journey Houston added 10 points off the bench as Iowa shot 60.4% from the field.

Nebraska (16-10, 5-10), which has lost five in a row, shot 46.6% from the field and couldn’t recover from a 45-27 halftime deficit. Britt Prince scored 13 points, Eliza Maupin posted 11 points and six rebounds, and Amiah Hargrove added 10 points.

Heiden, who made 12 of her 15 shots overall, scored 18 points on 8-of-9 shooting in the first half as the Hawkeyes shot 67.9% from the field. Nebraska cut into Iowa’s lead with a 10-1 run in the third quarter to get within 11, but that was as close as it would get the rest of the way.

Iowa, which has won 13 of the last 15 meetings against Nebraska, plays at Purdue on Thursday. Nebraska visits Oregon on Thursday.
