On Friday, Senator Ted Cruz mocked New York congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for her emotional response to the horrifying Capitol insurrection, when he addressed the CPAC. He also mocked Sen. Bernie Sanders for wearing mittens at Joe Biden’s presidential inauguration.
The Cancun returned Senator, who faced flak back home in Texas for fleeing to warm Cancun Mexico with his wife and children, leaving their dog Snowflake behind, had to return to Texas due to social media pressure. When he addressed the CPAC, he took potshots at others from Orlando, Florida.
Although his address was on “Bill of Rights, Liberty, and Cancel Culture, he said that they were gathered at a time where the hard left, where the socialists control the lever of the government and the White House. He said that they controlled every executive branch and both House of Congress. He said “Bernie is wearing mittens, and AOC is telling us she was murdered.”

Cruz was allegedly referring to Ocasia-Cortez’ comments after the violent Capitol riot on January 6, when she spoke on Instagram live and said, “I thought I was going to die.”
She had asked for censures or resignations from colleagues who had allegedly enabled the rioting including Cruz and Sen. Josh Hawley. She had told Cruz that he had almost had her murdered three weeks ago.
The political rivalry between Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ted Cruz has peaked after severe weather swept through Texas. While Cruz escaped the freezing weather, electricity and water shortages in Texas by flying to warm Cancun with his family Alexander Ocasio-Cortez was working in the ground in Texas. He returned back to Texas, earlier than scheduled after facing strong criticism.
Ocasio-Cortez raised millions of dollars for Texans. She flew to Texas and helped at the ground level along with Reps. Sheila Jackson Lee and Sylvia Garcia. She volunteered at the Houston Food Bank along with them.
When he spoke at the CPAC in Orlando, Florida on Friday, Ted Cruz urged Americans to “have fun.”
