Asana Shares Drop 12 percent Despite Q2 Beat

Asana (NYSE:ASAN) shares fell more than 12% intra-day today despite the company reporting better-than-expected Q2 results.
The company reported a loss of $0.04 per share, which was $0.07 better than what analysts had anticipated. Additionally, Asana’s quarterly revenue reached $162.5 million, surpassing the Street estimate of $157.9 million.
Looking ahead to the third quarter, Asana anticipates an EPS ranging from ($0.11) to ($0.10), in contrast to the consensus estimate of ($0.15). Furthermore, the company projects third-quarter revenue to fall between $163.5 million and $164.5 million, compared to the Street estimate of $162.8 million.
For the fiscal year 2024, Asana forecasts an EPS within the range of ($0.42) to ($0.39), compared to the Street estimate of ($0.52). Additionally, the company expects full-year revenue to be in the range of $642 million to $648 million, compared to the Street estimate of $644.4 million.
