Arizona State big man Warren Washington announced Thursday that he is declaring for the NBA draft.

Washington said he will retain his college eligibility. He has already played a total of 109 games for three different schools — Oregon State, Nevada and Arizona State.

“Sun Devil Nation, I’ve been chasing this basketball dream ever since I can remember,” the 7-footer said on Instagram. “My collegiate career has taken me to several places and I’m grateful to all college staffs that have put time and energy into developing me as a player and a person.

“Specifically, I’d like to thank coach (Bobby) Hurley for giving me the opportunity to come back to the Pac-12 and prove I can play at the highest level. I’d also like to give a special thanks to my family and friends for their support. With that being said, the NBA has always been my ultimate goal and I have decided I will be entering my name in the 2023 NBA Draft while maintaining my college eligibility.”

Washington averaged 9.2 points and a team-best 6.9 rebounds this season in 34 games (all starts) for the Sun Devils. His 60 blocked shots ranked third in the Pac-12.

Overall, he has averages of 7.7 points and 5.2 rebounds with 111 rejections while playing one season for Oregon State, two for Nevada and one for Arizona State. He is shooting 57.8 percent from the field for his career, which includes 80 starts.
