On the HBO series “Euphoria,” Angus Cloud played the part of drug dealer Fezco “Fez” O’Neill. He passed away at the age of 25.
According to Cloud’s publicist, Cait Bailey, the musician passed away on Monday at his Oakland, California, residence. The reason of death was not disclosed. At approximately 11:30 a.m., the Oakland Fire Department reported that it went to a medical emergency; however, the patient was “already deceased.” The fire department reported that there was no confirmed cause of death. The Oakland Police Department has stated that it is still an “active death investigation.”
Cloud’s family released a statement in which they paid tribute to “an artist, a friend, a brother, and a son.” “Last week he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss,” the family said. “The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend. Angus was open about his battle with mental health, and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence.” “We hope the world remembers him for his humor, laughter and love for everyone.”
Before being cast in “Euphoria,” Cloud hadn’t done any acting. He was observed by casting scout Eléonore Hendricks as she passed him on the street in New York. Cloud initially resisted, thinking it was a con. After a meeting with the casting director Jennifer Venditti, the show’s creator Sam Levinson eventually added him as a co-star for the first two seasons of the show with Zendaya.
Cloud was an extraordinarily talented actor and was recently cast to co-star in “Scream 6.”
RIP Angus Cloud
