Almost every review for this Amazon Prime series has been fantastic. The tone is excellent. Perhaps calling this a comedy would be an understatement. It’s humorous, graphic, and serious all at once.

On February 12, 2021, rumors regarding the creation of a TV show revival based on the original movie broke. The show, co-created and showrunnered by Francesca Sloane alongside Donald Glover and Phoebe Waller-Bridge, was supposed to premiere on Prime Video in 2022. The revival was based on the Doug Liman-directed original movie, which starred Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. But in September 2021, Waller-Bridge left the project, claiming artistic differences with Glover. Later, it was announced that Maya Erskine would take over for Waller-Bridge on April 7, 2022.
