Aliyah Boston posted 13 points and 14 rebounds Sunday for her 73rd collegiate double-double, breaking No. 1 South Carolina’s program record as the Gamecocks beat Arkansas 92-46.

Boston, the reigning national player of the year, bested the previous record set by Sheila Foster (1979-82).

Boston entered Sunday averaging 12.7 points and 9.5 rebounds per contest. In each of the past two seasons, she’s averaged double figures in both scoring and rebounds.

“She’s at a place where you really can’t stop her,” South Carolina coach Dawn Staley told reporters.

South Carolina, the defending national champion, improved to 20-0 (8-0 SEC) with the rout of Arkansas. The Gamecocks are still one of three teams in Division I women’s basketball who have yet to lose, along with No. 2 Ohio State and No. 3 LSU; South Carolina and LSU are scheduled to play Feb. 12 in Columbia, S.C.
