Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez have announced today that they are staying together and working to address all the issues.
“We are working through some things,” they said in a joint statement.
Yesterday we reported the following below that was reported by other news outlets.
The news comes as a surprise to fans after the pair celebrated Valentine’s Day together and also attended the Super Bowl in Miami. TMZ reported that the couple had broken up on Friday, but a source told Us Weekly that ‘there have been issues in their relationship for a while now.’

The pair first met each other at a New York Yankees baseball game when Lopez was still married to Marc Anthony, her now ex-husband and the father to her children. The two met again 12 years later, turning their acquaintance into a full-blown romance.
In May 2020 Jennifer Lopez told NBC’s Today show: “There’s no planning right now. You just have to kind of wait and see how this all plays out…I’m a little heartbroken because we did have some great plans but I’m also like, you know what, God has a bigger plan, so we just have to wait and see. Maybe it’s going to be better. I have to believe that it will be.”
Rodriguez’s ex-wife Cynthia’s brother, Constantine Scurtis, is suing him for racketeering and embezzlement in a $50 million lawsuit. Scurtis also alleged to The Daily Mail that he was unfaithful during Rodriguez’s marriage to his sister.
