Three years ago, Alec Baldwin and Wojciech Cieszkowski were involved in a public brawl in New York City and the 30 Rock star was accused of punching the man in his face over a parking spot outside Baldwin’s apartment in New York City. The incident took place on November 2, 2018. Baldwin said that he had “lightly pushed” him and this was reportedly seen in the surveillance camera.
In January 2019, Alec Baldwin pleaded guilty to a violation of harassment in the second degree. This was in connection with the suit filed by Cieszkowski, in 2018. He received a conditional discharge and had to participate in an short-term anger management program. He did not have to serve term or to be on probation but had to pay a fine of $120. Under New York law, a violation is not a crime.
In November 2019, Baldwin had sued Cieszkowski for false information and defamation. His suit said that Cieszkowski had exaggerated his injuries, which was proved through video surveillance as he had said that he had been shoved “hard in the chest with both hands” by Baldwin who admitted that he had pushed him a second time but did not punch him.

On Monday, the Saturday Night Live (SNL) star and Cieszkowski told a judge in Manhattan Supreme Court that they had reached an out of court settlement. The specific deal and the financial settlement have not been made public. Both the parties released a joint statement.
The statement from their lawyers said that “Alec Baldwin and Wojciech Cieszkowski” had agreed to resolve all litigation with reference to the incident that had taken place between them “on November 2, 2018.” It also added that the resolution terms were “private and confidential” and that neither party would comment further.
Alec Baldwin has successfully resolved this lawsuit but faces two others including one from a crew member from “Rust.” The actor had accidentally fatally shot cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and director Joel Souza, who recovered, since. The gun handed to him was called as a “cold” gun. A cold gun indicates that there is no live ammunition.
Baldwin is also facing a defamation suit from the sister of a US Marine and his wife, to whom he had sent funds. The sister was seen in a photo on Instagram that showed her at the Capitol, on January 6, the day of the violent riot. Baldwin said he regretted sending the money to them and the U.S. Marine’s family is suing him for defamation and emotional distress.
