Over the weekend, Hilaria Baldwin posted that she was taking a break from social media. She posted on Instagram that although she would not be online, she could share a photo, on ocassion, to assure her followers that she was okay. She also said that she wanted to inform her almost 1 million followers before she took her break but did not mention the duration of the break.
The 38-year old media personality addressed her followers as her “friends” and informed them that she was taking a “social break.” She promised them that she would be back and she loved them. She also said that she was informing them as she didn’t want them to worry about her.
The yoga instructor urged her followers to “be good to yourself.” She also sent “much love” and “good energy”. She also said that she cherished her community and that she would be back.
A source close to Hilaria told several outlest that there was no specific reason behind Hilaria’s break from social media. She had decided to enjoy her time with her kids without the distractions of social media. Taking a break would help her focus on them. She has six children with husband Alec Baldwin.
Weeks ago, Alec Baldwin was one of the defendants named in a lawsuit that was filed by the Halyna Hutchins estate. The actor had accidentally but fatally shot cinematographer Halyna Hutchins as well as director Joel Souza, who recovered since, with an antique Colt gun, on the sets of the Western “Rust.”
About four months ago, Baldwin was handed a gun that was called “cold” by assistant director David Hall on the set after it was checked by armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed. A “cold” gun means that there’s no live ammunition. Unfortunately there was a live bullet that killed Halyna and injured Souza.
When Halyna’s husband Matt Hutchins recently appeared on the Today show, Baldwin posted a cryptic message. He said that “in Buddhism being truthful” went beyond not telling lies. It meant that a person spoke “truthfully and honestly.” Alec Baldwin added that it also meant that speech should be used “to benefit others” and should not be used to “benefit only ourselves.”
Hilaria and Alec Baldwin, the power couple who were once really active on social and other media, have now gone silent.
