Oklahoma snaps its streak of five straight games against Top 25 opponents when it hosts unranked LSU on Saturday in Norman, Okla.

The Sooners (16-8, 3-8 Southeastern Conference) lost 82-58 at No. 21 Missouri on Wednesday. Redshirt senior guard Duke Miles led Oklahoma with 18 points and had three assists, which was as many as all of the other Sooners combined.

Along with six total assists, Oklahoma rang up 17 turnovers, trailed by 20 at halftime and never led against Missouri. The Sooners have dropped three straight games and four out of five.

“I’ve got to put it in perspective,” Oklahoma coach Porter Moser said. “My gut is hurting because we are not playing good basketball. But, it is also (games against) Auburn, Tennessee and Missouri — three of the top 12 teams in the country. So we are trying to muster up some offense anywhere we can get it.”

Oklahoma leading scorer Jalon Moore was held to 10 points, well below his average of 17.3 points per game. While Moser is hungry for a win, he wants the Sooners to share the ball better against LSU.

“Duke Miles played well from the guard spot for us,” Moser said. “But I don’t think that we had great playmaking ability. Our other three point guards combined for one assist.”

The nightmare trek through the SEC continued for LSU (12-12, 1-10) in a 70-58 loss at Arkansas on Wednesday. The Tigers led 35-34 at halftime but couldn’t hang on and lost their seventh straight contest.

Robert Miller III came off the bench to lead LSU with 16 points and Vyctorius Miller scored nine points on 4-of-5 shooting. LSU coach Matt McMahon said both freshmen showed their growth against experienced post players. Cam Carter leads LSU in scoring at 16.8 points per game.

“I was really impressed with Rob,” McMahon said. “And that was going up against Big Z (Arkansas’ Zvonimi Ivisic) and (Jonas) Aidoo, two of the best post defenders in our league. I think he showed the ability to score. I thought he was really good there. And Vyctorius was able to come in and give us a lift. That was the best he’s scored the ball since we got to SEC play.”
