Adam Clark scored a season-high 22 points and visiting Seton Hall rallied again by overcoming an 11-point deficit in the second half for a 76-67 victory over Georgetown on Saturday night in Washington, D.C.

Seton Hall (14-2, 4-1 Big East) won its third straight game and its first since overcoming a 16-point deficit for a last-second home win over Creighton on Sunday.

It was also the Pirates’ third straight comeback from a double-digit deficit, and this time around, they did not need a late game-winning basket. Instead, they scored 13 straight points in 2:57 to get a double-digit lead and ended the contest with a 22-10 run over the final 7:24.

Clark scored 13 points after halftime, including nine in the final run. He hit five free throws and a pair of jumpers while shooting 6-of-12 from the floor and 10-of-12 at the free throw line.

Taijuan Simpkins added 15 of his 17 in the second half, including eight straight points midway through the half when Seton Hall began its comeback.

Trey Parker contributed 12 as the Pirates shot 42.1% and got 42 points from its reserves.

The big showings by Clark and Simpkins helped the Pirates withstand a quiet showing from leading scorer AJ Staton-McCray, who was held to nine points.

Georgetown (9-7, 1-4) lost its third straight and struggled offensively again. The Hoyas shot 33.9% and were 6-of-24 over the final 14:51 when Malik Mack’s 3-pointer gave them a 47-36 lead.

Mack led the Hoyas with 14 but missed his first seven shots and was 4-of-16 from the floor. Isiah Abraham added 13 while KJ Lewis, Caleb Williams and Vince Iwuchukwu finished with 10 apiece.

Seton Hall forged a 29-29 tie by halftime when Najai Hines sank a jumper with 18 seconds left and Mack missed a jumper at the horn. Threes by Abraham, Lewis and Mack opened a 47-36 lead with 14:15 left, but Seton Hall answered, getting eight straight points from Simpkins, whose 3 cut the lead to 47-44 with 11:43 left.

The Pirates went ahead for good on a 3-point play by Simpkins that made it 59-57 with 5:44 lead. Clark’s fadeaway in the paint upped the lead to 64-57 with 4:18 left and Josh Rivera followed with an open 3 for a 10-point lead less than a minute later to finish it off.
