Abercrombie & Fitch (ANF) has alleged that against Mike Jeffries had been abusing men for sex at events he threw in his New York mansions and opulent hotels across the world, including in London, Paris, Venice, and Marrakesh, were revealed during the two-year BBC investigation.
According to a BBC investigation, young adult men were recruited by an organized network through an intermediary for the events with Mr. Jeffries and his companion Matthew Smith, with some alleging abuse. There is no proof that the business was aware of the claims of exploitation at sex events that the BBC had investigated.
Between 2009 and 2015, 12 men reported attending or planning sex acts for the fashion magnate, 79, and his British boyfriend, Mr. Smith, 60. The BBC reported,” Men who attended these events told the BBC Mr. Jeffries and Mr. Smith would engage in sexual activity with about four men – or “direct” them to have sex with each other. Afterwards, the men said staff at the event handed them envelopes filled with thousands of dollars in cash.”
The eight men who attended the activities claimed that a middleman who they described as having a snakeskin patch over his missing nose recruited them. He has been identified as James Jacobson by the BBC.
