A Philadelphia man opens fire leaving five people dead and two injured.
Currently, there are several police officers present in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania’s Kingsessing area. This is because of a tragic mass shooting in which an individual shot and killed eight people. Unfortunately, there have been four documented deaths. While going along the street while donning a bulletproof vest, the shooter fired shots at random. The culprit has been apprehended by police and is in their custody.
Police first reported that four people had been slain, all of them were men between the ages of 20 and 59. The two injured kids, who are ages two and thirteen, were taken to the hospital and are doing well.
But early on Tuesday, a fifth victim was located. The person is thought to have perished in the shooting spree when their body was found inside a building in the same neighborhood. Commissioner Outlaw stated that she had “absolutely no idea why this happened” and added that all they knew at this moment was that the person had made the decision to leave their house and attack individuals.

“We’re canvassing the area to get as much information as we can – to identify witnesses, to identify where cameras are located, and to do everything we can to figure out the ‘why’ behind this happening,” she said.
An area covering eight blocks and covered in dozens of shot casings has subsequently been cordoned off by investigators. Police are currently looking for a potential motive, and the culprit has not yet been identified.
A second person was also detained. According to the commissioner, they are thought to have obtained a gun and “returned fire in the direction of the shooter.”
It is unclear if that individual is related to the shooter.
Kimbrady Carricker identified as a biological male has been arrested.
