Residents in much of Massachusetts reported feeling their homes shake during what preliminarily appears to have been an earthquake. Source CBS News Boston No damage has been reported.
The US Geological Survey reported a 4.0 magnitude earthquake that struck near bliss corner, Massachusetts this Sunday morning. The quake struck off Mishaum Point which is a southeastern peninsula that reaches out into buzzards Bay. The quake could be felt as far as 100 miles away according to USGS. The tremblor could be felt as far as Connecticut, New Hampshire, Sound beach, Long Island, Rhode Island, and Burlington Connecticut.
