More than a dozen French bulldogs, each worth more than $100,000, were stolen from a Port St. Lucie residence by burglars, and Florida police are looking for them.
The thieves busted open a bedroom window at a house in the town, according to the Port St. Lucie Police Department, and took 19 French bulldogs. The suspects got away in a four-door car with a dented bumper.
Thefts of French bulldogs have been reported more frequently in recent years, and many people attribute this to the breed’s high value. In 2020, Frenchie’s ranked as the second most popular dog breed in the United States and ranged in price from $1,500 to $4,500.
