iPhone 8 camera – CWEB.com
iPhone 8 change will be a complete redesign of the front of the iPhone. Files associated with Apple Pay within the Home Pad firmware revealed a silhouette of the design, which shows a screen that reaches from the top to the bottom of the device, with small bezels all the way around and a notch in the top of the screen likely for the earpiece speaker, front-facing cameras and sensors.
The camera and video quality upgrade will be detectable on your phone and the difference will be most easily detected on big screens.

Tesla Stocks – CWEB.com
Tesla Shares climb 10% now at the aftermarket.
Tesla just released last quarter’s results, and beat analysts’ expectations on the most important parameters, as net result and revenue growth. One of the points of attention was how much higher sales of Models S and X were, despite the arrival of Model 3.
We have to understand that Tesla isn’t a car company. It is a leading edge Technology Company. It deals with autonomous driving, renewable clean energy, advanced car batteries and energy storage and of course they also make electric cars.

Dark Tower Trailer – CWEB.com
So far the Dark Tower movie is at a whooping 16% on Rotten Tomato. I can’t say I’m surprised though when I saw the lack of promotion, the fact the trailer was released so late, production set backs, and the fact is was 95 minutes and PG13.
Wow, some seriously bad reviews for this one. Not seen it yet of course so I can’t personally judge but gotta say I had a bad feeling when I saw the trailers.
It’s too bad, I loved the books that I did read and it could have translated well on screen if they had expanded it into a quality series via HBO or Netflix etc and/or a series of films as they were panning to do originally. After years of production hell sounds like they blew it. What a waste.

Facebook Video Chat Device – CWEB.com
The rumored 13-inch display will have a wide-angle camera that can scan for people’s faces and objects. Purpose-built video chat hardware for family and friends. If you live far from your people, you know how good this could be.
The video chat device will feature a wide-angle camera lens, microphones, and speakers for video conferencing that are all powered by artificial intelligence to boost performance.
The device is being developed inside Facebook’s secretive Building 8 hardware lab, which is tasked with creating consumer hardware and shipping it to millions of people. Facebook is also working on an Amazon Echo-like smart speaker, per Bloomberg.

Natural language understanding is a very tough problem and we’ve all been trying to apply AI here. So it’s understandable why FB tried to set up AI to communicate using natural language, and of course it is difficult – like most AI efforts in this domain.
Imagine you’ve set up neural nets to detect images of gorilla faces and it ends up matching a human face to it. That won’t mean AI is planning to turn gorillas into humans. Anyone who understands how AI works will know these outcomes aren’t scary. They just show AI still has a long way to go.
This is the future!
