The Los Angeles Guerrillas M8, the last winless team in Call of Duty League’s Stage 4 Major qualifying, finally earned a victory Friday in their fourth try.
The Guerrillas rallied for a 3-2 win over OpTic Texas.
In the day’s other matches as Week 3 got underway, the Minnesota Rokkr beat the Carolina Royal Ravens 3-1, and the Los Angeles Thieves blanked the Boston Breach 3-0.
The Stage 4 Major qualifying round has the league’s 12 teams playing five matches apiece through Sunday to determine seeding for the Stage 4 Major playoffs, slated for May 23-25 in Dallas.
On Friday, the Guerrillas opened with a 250-230 win on Skyline Hardpoint before OpTic claimed Dealership Search and Destroy 6-4 and Vault Control 3-0. Los Angeles came back to take Rewind Hardpoint 250-233 and Protocol Search and Destroy 6-2.
After the Royal Ravens claimed Red Card Hardpoint 250-240, the Rokkr captured the next three maps: 6-5 on Hacienda Search and Destroy, 3-2 on Protocol Control and 250-174 on Skyline Hardpoint.
The Thieves routed the Breach 250-127 on Red Card Hardpoint, 6-1 on Hacienda Search and Destroy and 3-0 on Vault Control.
