Roger Ailes “The Voice” of Fox News Dies at 77

RogerAiles,   who was the founding CEO of Fox News on October 7, 1996, died today, May 18th, 2017. Fox News became the king of conservative political news.

Ailes was accused of allegedly sexually harassing women he worked with at television station Fox news in 2016. Ailes resigned from Fox News in July 2017 and received $40 million in an exit agreement from Fox. Rupert Murdoch has succeeded him as interim CEO until Fox

Roger Ailes was an advisor to Donald Trump on his Presidential Campaign. He assisted President Trump with debate preparation. Ailes was also a media consultant two former Presidents, George H. W. Bush and Richard Nixon.

Ailes wrote the book “You Are the Message: Secrets of the Master Communicators” with long-time aide Jon Kraushar.

Ailes was Ailes very ill as a child as he suffered from hemophilia. He was hospitalized many times with this condition.Ailes wife Elizabeth Ailes said: “I am profoundly sad and heartbroken to report that my husband, Roger Ailes, passed away this morning surrounded by his beautiful family. Roger was my best friend, the most wonderful loving husband and father to our son Zachary; He was a loyal friend to so many. Roger was a patriot, grateful to live in a country that gave him so much opportunity to work hard, to rise — and to give back. During a career that stretched over more than five decades, his work in entertainment, in politics, and in news affected the lives of many millions.”

The death of Roger Ailes will complicate the federal investigation of events going on at Fox News. Former employees will have a much harder time proving claims of sexual harassment and misconduct.
