Today the FCC Chairman Ajit Pai is proposing that the Commission “repeal the mistake of Title II and return to the light-touch regulatory framework.” If adopted, his proposal would return broadband regulation to Title I, remove the so-called Internet conduct standard, and ask questions about the “brightline” rules.

The opposition filed a the following brief against it :

800+ companies from all 50 states are calling on Federal Communications Commission Chairman Ajit Pai to protect a free & open internet. With out net neutrality, Internet Service Providers (ISPs) could slow down a specific company’s internet traffic because that company can’t afford or didn’t pay for the internet fast lane putting them at a competitive disadvantage.
