Today under the new policy, airline crews are required to check in at least an hour before a flight leaves to avoid having to find a seat for them after all passengers have boarded.

United Airlines is changing their policy on crew bookings so that crew are booked in seats 60 minutes before departure. This is a step in the right direction, but it’s still going to be a while before customers forgive United for their poor handling of customers.
